Historic Marietta Square – Farmer’s Market & Events
The Farmers Market located on North Park Square, between Shillings Restaurant and the Strand Theater, at the historic Marietta Square features the best in fresh, locally grown produce and garden products. It’s open Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m.
The Farmers Market experienced its best season yet last year, and they plan on this season being even bigger. The market has more than 60 vendors on Saturdays and over 30 on Sundays. Customers have a large variety of fruits and vegetables to choose from including produce that is rarely available from local grocery stores.
There is also a large selection of staples available such as potatoes, onions, tomatoes, squash, beans, cut flower arrangements, local honey, herbal soaps, whole grain breads, fudge pies, jelly, jam and preserves. Customers can also take home live garden, yard and culinary herb plants as well as fresh squeezed lemonade.
Plenty of free parking is available on both days at the two County Parking Decks, located on the corner of Lawrence and Waddell Streets, one block West of City Hall. The Marietta Square Farmers Market is sponsored by the Economic Development for the City of Marietta and the Downtown Marietta Development Authority and is part of the Marietta real estate community.
